Electrical Engineer (Nuclear Sector)

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for nuclear power and electrical systems? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Medior Electrical Engineer to join our team for a critical project in Belgium. This role involves managing electrical power systems for construction and renovation projects, specifically in the Doel Nuclear Power Plant.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead design, renovation, and optimization studies for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Define equipment ratings and technical specs for electrical systems, including generators, transformer protection, MV/LV motors, emergency systems, and more.
• Act as Contract Owner: manage tender invitations, conduct bid analysis, lead technical-commercial negotiations, and oversee contract awards for electrical equipment/services.
• Interface management: coordinate with other technical disciplines and customer installations.
• Contract follow-up: ensure the smooth technical and commercial progress of contracts.
• Participate in factory tests, on-site assembly supervision, and commissioning tests for electrical systems.
• Provide consulting expertise on nuclear generation electrical systems.
• Stay up to date on market trends, best practices, and evolving regulations in the nuclear and electrical fields.
• Contribute to methodology improvements in electrical engineering for nuclear generation.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering, with a strong preference for nuclear power electrical systems.
• Expertise in electrical distribution, equipment sizing, and industry standards.
• Mobility and willingness to participate in short or medium-term missions abroad.
• Regular involvement in on-site activities at Doel NPP’s.
• Fluency in Dutch or French, with excellent English skills.
• Eligible for Nuclear Habilitation.
