Graphic design and video editing internship
European Schoolnet is looking for a graphic designer, with video editing skills, for an internship of six
months. The ideal candidate will have some experience using design and video editing software and be
able to find the right style and layout for every project, developing visual representations, in both print and
electronic media, collaborating with multiple teams across the organisation. This position offers the
opportunity to grow professionally, working in an international organisation, in the field of education and
technology, as part of our communications department, based in Brussels.
Objectives of this role

• Work on a wide range of projects, using software programs to develop graphic designs that meet

corporate or EU projects targets.

• Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet quality standards and brand

expectations, express ideas accurately, in line with visual identity or guidelines.

• Support communications team in the editing and production of videos for a variety of European

projects focusing on innovation in education.

• Work cooperatively with other communication and events team members to meet deadlines and

align on priorities.

• Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video

Tasks and responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple teams on a wide range of materials that may include visuals for web

pages, presentations, reports, publications, event collateral, internal communications, newsletters,
and social media campaigns.

• Translate requests into high-quality design in line with established brand identity

• Develop and implement concepts by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery,

and layout
Skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, media or related discipline.

• Familiar with the Google Suite / MS Office applications.

• Academic or professional experience with design software (i. e. Adobe In Design, Adobe

Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, Canva).

• Good knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and especially Adobe Premiere Pro (Win OS)

• Basic knowledge of audio production and mixing.

• A basic knowledge of HTML and with web content management systems or web design.

• Very good spoken and written English plus at least one other EU language.

• Photography experience with photo-editing software or video editing is a plus.

• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Organisational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Desire to continue building skill set with education and training

Useful information

• Permit: Applicants must be EU citizens or already possess a valid work permit to work in Belgium.

• Duration of contract: 6 months’ internship starting from September 2024 (as soon as possible).

• This is a full-time position.

• Deadline for applications: On Sunday 1st September 2024

• Location: European Schoolnet, Rue de Treves, 61, Brussels, Belgium. The trainee

• will have to be domiciled in Belgium during the traineeship.

• Benefits: a stipend of 1100 €/month net for the duration of the internship.

• Position: Remote working from the Belgian residence up to three days per week and up to 10 days

remote working from abroad, during the internship.
