Luminus is looking for an experienced professional with expertise in the field of High-Voltage electrical system and turbomachinery generators for its fleet of thermal, hydro, wind, and storage plants.
The Sr engineer performs the engineering for new electrical connections for power plants, takes the lead of investment projects in high-voltage equipment and gives advice to operations on high-voltage equipment maintenance.


Your daily Job

• You will engineer and contract high-voltage electrical connections for new power plants, including thermal, hydro, wind and storage.
• You will lead project management, specifically for high-voltage equipment, depending on the assignment.
• You will support power asset owners with maintenance, incident troubleshooting, and best practice sharing in the field of high-voltage expertise.
• You will master the Elia grid code, ENTSO-e (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity) and Synergrid (Federation of electricity and gas distribution grid operators in Belgium).
• You will handle stakeholder relations in Belgium with TSO, Elia, and DGO's, Fluvius, ORES, and Résa.
• You will report to the Projects Director with a solution-oriented approach.
• You will manage and coach a team of electrical engineers serving as as project managers in power asset projects.
• You will assume a leadership position as a principal high-voltage expert, participating in dialogues with authorities, clients, and suppliers.
• You will develop and share your expertise on High-Voltage electrical power systems within Luminus production.
• You will actively participate in EDF group synergy in the field of high-voltage expertise.

Your profile

• You have a Master's degree in engineering, specifically in electrical engineering or electromechanical engineering. A Ph D in High-Voltage electricity would be an asset.
• You have profound knowledge of High-Voltage power systems and turbomachinery generators.
• You have experience with wind turbines, hydro turbines, PV plants, battery storage, or turbomachinery manufacturers, which is considered a strong asset.
• You have at least 10 years of experience with projects related to High-Voltage electrical connections and High-Voltage equipment engineering or maintenance.
• You have experience in project management in power asset construction.
• You are capable of using High-Voltage electrical design tools, such as Eplan or similar.
• You have practical knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• You have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage different stakeholders, including internal resources, partners, EDF group, and clients.
• You possess strong negotiation skills.
• You have good leadership skills.
• You are proficient in Dutch or French, with professional proficiency in English, which is the engineering and procurement language.
• You have a driving license B for project mobility.
