Job Description:

We are currently looking for an Industrial Technical Service Specialist to join us at our facility in Lummen.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide onsite technical support to existing customers on a regular basis
• Manage line trials to develop new business
• Work with Area Sales Managers to provide solution based selling opportunities
• Conduct plant and process auditing and producing subsequent reports for guidance on areas of concern and improvement.
• Managing of technically driven accounts to increase business and / or keep out competition
• Investigate and solve quality problems
• Handle technical aspects of quality claims
• Build relationships with key accounts and trust in Axalta service level
• Write and deliver technical training programs including both theoretical and practical modules.
• Liaise with application equipment, pre-treatment and plant suppliers on behalf of Axalta and key customer base.
• Acting as a member of EMEA technical team to grow own knowledge and competencies about Axalta products and application processes.
• Carry out Approved Applicator audits
• Manage the Lummen based lab

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong technical background in coating technologies (or chemical background)
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Ability to establish priorities and meet timelines
• Most communications will be in Flemish, and as an international company, English is required. French is nice-to-have.
• Good written communication skills and strong presentation skills

We zijn momenteel op zoek naar een Industrial Technical Service Specialist om ons team te versterken in onze faciliteit in Lummen.

Verantwoordelijkheden:

• Bieden van technische ondersteuning ter plaatse aan bestaande klanten op regelmatige basis.
• Toezicht houden op, en uitvoeren van tests, om de prestaties van nieuwe coatings te evalueren, met als doel ontwikkeling van nieuwe zakelijke mogelijkheden of de uitbreiding van de bestaande.
• Samenwerken met de Sales organisatie, ter versterking van de oplossingsgerichte verkoop.
• Uitvoeren van audits, zowel op organisatie als proces, om zodoende probleemgebieden te identificeren en verbeteringsvoorstellen te doen.
• Onderzoek en oplossen van kwaliteitsproblemen in het coatingproces.
• Behandelen van de technische aspecten van kwaliteitsclaims.
• Ontwikkelen en onderhouden van vertrouwensrelaties met key accounts met betrekking tot de service van Axalta.
• Opzetten en geven van technische trainingsprogramma’s, met zowel theorie als praktijk modules mbt coatings.
• Onderhouden van contact met leveranciers van applicatie apparatuur, voorbehandeling- en fabrieksvoorzieningen namens Axalta, en onze belangrijkste klanten.
• Optreden als lid van het EMEA technische team om de eigen kennis en vaardigheden over Axalta-producten en applicatieprocessen te vergroten.
• Uitvoeren van audits bij onze zg. ‘Approved Applicators’.
• Verantwoordelijk voor ons laboratorium in Lummen.

Kennis & Vaardigheden:

• Sterke technische achtergrond met focus op coating technologie (of een achtergrond in de chemie)
• Tenminste 5 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare positie.
• Ervaren in prioriseren het het behalen van deadlines.
• De meeste communicatie verloopt in het Nederlands, echter deel uitmakend van een internationale organisatie is de Engelse taalvaardigheid ook een vereiste. Bijkomend is Frans spreken een voordeel.
• Goede communicator.
