Digitalisation is changing the way healthcare is delivered, making it more efficient, safer and more effective. Recent years have seen a number of policy initiatives, many emanating from Brussels, that are paving the way for better use of connected health technologies and data.

We are looking for a Digital Health Intern to join our team at the intersection of medical technology and digital health.
The Intern will contribute to the activities of Med Tech Europe’s Digital Health team to support the execution of Med Tech Europe’s digital health strategy. The Digital Health Intern will report to the Director Digital Health.

Specific Responsibilities

Digital health:

• Research on digital health technologies and their adoption
• Drafting of reports, briefings, meeting minutes, position papers, presentations and other written material
• Representation of Med Tech Europe at meetings and events
• Support the organisation of committee and working group meetings (online and face-to-face)
• Provide further assistance as required, such as carrying out administrative tasks and communications.

Requirements

• Fluency in oral and written English Analytical mindset, ability to carry out research and present results effectively both in written and orally
• Reactiveness, ability to work independently and proven experience in taking responsibility
• Eye for detail, a positive attitude and a problem-solving mindset
• IT savviness, including competence in standard Windows and MS Office applications
• Bachelor or higher-level education level in humanities, social/political sciences, IT, economics, law, or other relevant fields
• Interest in medical technologies, healthcare and digital health
• Eligible to work as a trainee in Belgium

Nice-to-have skills

• Familiarity with the EU healthcare landscape
• Previous work experience in EU-related areas
• Fluency in other official EU languages
• Experience with policy monitoring and briefing skills.

What we offer

• A one-year full time contract under the Belgian Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle (CIP)
• A remunerated internship with benefits: lunch vouchers, internet and phone compensation, reimbursement of public transportation, possibility of hybrid work
• This internship is only applicable for candidates who hold a diploma and are not linked to any internship with a university.
