We are seeking an experienced IT Application Production Support Engineer to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. The role involves providing 2nd line support for business and technical applications, with a focus on international payment systems like the Money Transfer System . The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment of business releases and operational support for applications in both QA and Production environments. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, with French being a plus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Application Support:
Provide 2nd line support for applications in the domains of Daily Banking, Payments, and Risk & Credits, particularly focusing on the MTS (Money Transfer System)
and backend applications.
Ensure smooth deployment of new business releases and provide IT operational support for business applications in both QA and Production environments.
Incident Management:
2. Investigate, analyze, and document solutions for incidents in QA and Production environments.
Collaborate with stakeholders to create detailed runbooks and update technical documentation, including the Current State Architecture.
Evaluate escalations with the Scrum Master and escalate incidents as needed.
Deployment Management:
3. Ensure all deployments are completed on schedule, fully implemented, and functional in operational environments.
Qualifications
1. Technical Skills:
Proficient in Linux, Oracle/SQL databases, and batch scheduling.
Familiar with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point).
Preferred: Mainframe knowledge (z/OS, DB2), Unix/Linux scripting, MQ Series, CTRL-M, cloud environments.
2. Education:
Bachelor’s/Master’s in IT or equivalent experience.

4. Help prepare deployment plans by identifying stakeholders and ensuring alignment of technical dependencies.
