We are hiring a IT Expert for European Commission in Brussels and various locations around Europe.

Package Description
We are hiring a IT Expert for European Commission in Brussels and various locations around Europe.
Main Responsibilities
- Good knowledge of the EC policymaking process;
- Ability to participate in technical meetings and good communication skills;
- Teamwork skills, including ability to work in a friendly, organised, and well-structured manner also under pressure;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to understand what each stakeholder wants and needs;
- Very good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences;
- Ability to work autonomously, managing his/her own workload independently, providing status
- updates, liaising with others, and escalating issues as appropriate;
- Analysis and problem-solving skills;
- Capability to write clear and structured documents, presentations;
- Ability to apply high quality standards.
Master’s degree or 5 years of higher education
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Deep knowledge and expertise working with open source software, of at least 15 years;
- An actively maintained network of relevant stakeholders in the European Commission, other EU institutions and in public services in the Member States;
- Experience in setting up and working in an Open Source Programme Office in a large organisation, of at least 3 years;
- Relevant professional communication experience;
- Experience in procuring, setting up, and general user management of a software development repository (based on Gitlab or equivalent).
