WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
This role is a part of the People Solutions Payroll EMEA team and reporting to the senior payroll manager. The role will lead a team of payroll analyst in the ELC - Laakdal and delivers as a team a highly accurate and timely payroll.
The payroll team lead assists the payroll analysts in the team and makes sure there is a seamless teamwork in the ELC with cross functional partnering within and outside people solutions.
This role requires an analytical and technical mind with perfect organizational and leadership skills. The team lead is not afraid to speak up and make teams accountable.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
For the payroll team lead role, we are looking for a candidate with the following requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
The payroll team lead role is responsible for the Belgium payroll in the ELC and Retail stores for more than 6000 employees.
The role will lead a team of payroll analysts and makes sure that, together as a team, the monthly payroll accountabilities are taken care of and the payroll deadlines are always met.
The lead will make sure the accountabilities are known, backups are created, and where also the time commitment is equally distributed within the colleagues.
It also includes to escalate payroll impact proactively and contribute on cross functional processes with mutual interests.
This role is the voice of payroll and must escalate risks of not meeting payroll deadlines and estimates payroll impact on cross functional actions.
It is also fundamental to monitor the Service Now tickets and tasks queue and ensure KPI's and SLAs are being met

- Hand on experience in HR, time and payroll software e.g. SAP, Workday, Globalview, SD Worx, Prime Time

- Ability to dive into complex issues and seek clarity and resolution in partnership with cross functional teams. Strong communication skills to relay complex and technical information to non-technical audiences.

Other responsibilities include:
- Compile/reconcile data from a wide variety of sources (e.g. Workday, time sheets, tax deposits, etc.) for payroll processing
- Review/reconcile payroll input/output results using established practices and procedures
- Ensure payroll vendor partner is maintaining service level agreements
- Maintain supporting payroll documentations and authorizations for internal and external audits
- Provide Tier 2 support for employees and managers on payroll matter
- Responsible for year-end activities
- Ensure timely and accurate funding and disbursement of salaries
