Job Description
Are you a motivated professional with a passion for purchasing and logistics? Would you like to play a key role in optimizing our purchasing processes and achieving our business objectives? If so, then read on!
Your responsibilities:
- You will coordinate and support the logistics purchasing department in Belgium (and in the longer term, also in Romania). This currently includes managing transfers from Ieper to Romania.
- You will actively contribute to an improvement process that involves follow-up and team management in the event of delays, taking actions to reduce costs (raw materials, materials and services), and addressing critical issues.
- You will be required to frequently coordinate with production and planning departments.
- You will manage relationships with suppliers to achieve business objectives.
- You will be responsible for the timely execution of purchase orders, dealing with delivery delays and producing forecasts.
- You will specifically coordinate orders of prototype components in the purchasing department.
- You will analyze logistics parameters such as lead time, minimum order quantity, delivery terms, and coverage group, which will then be reviewed with the Procurement Manager.
- You will draw up documentation and track deliveries from customs to the warehouse.
- You will develop a supplier database based on market analysis.
Qualifications
- Strong people management skills.
- Analytical, with experience in data management and visualization.
- Results-oriented, precise, and reliable.
- Communicative and able to discuss supply issues with suppliers.
- Experience in transport and logistics processes/MRP.
- Experience in international business.
- Good command of English and Dutch.
