We are looking for a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator to support our customer in Brussels, Belgium. You will play a critical role in migrating our client's SQL Server databases from version 2012 to 2019. This includes planning, evaluating the current environment, and ensuring a smooth migration of all system components.
Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the current database setup and identify areas for improvement.
• Plan, build, and configure new SQL Server environments.
• Manage the migration of databases from version 2012 to 2019.
• Coordinate with end users to ensure a smooth migration process.
• Collaborate with different teams (infrastructure, applications) to ensure alignment.
• Provide a proper handover to the support team after the migration.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Expertise with SQL Server (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, MDS).
• Strong understanding of database internals, queries, schema structures, and linked servers.
• Experience with Windows Server.
• Knowledge of infrastructure components like monitoring, virtualization, storage, and networking.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
