We currently have a vacancy for a System Deployment Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

• Operating the various components part of a wide workflow eco-system environment;
• Provision of expert advice and assistance on the installation, configuration and tuning of tools and platforms required for the environment’s microservices based infrastructure;
• Configuration of automated deployment of new versions of applications;
• Monitor system performance and availability, identify and resolve issues that may cause service disruptions, and proactively prevent potential incidents;
• Manage backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure or other major disruption;
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as data privacy regulations, cybersecurity frameworks, and ITIL best practices;
• Apply best practices of distributed architecture to solve complex integration problems between information systems and K8s microservices;
• Define and configure monitoring dashboards and the alerting policies for the operation team.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Expertise in Linux system administration;
• Expertise in database management (Oracle, Elastic Search, Redis, AWS RDS, AWS Aurora, Postgre SQL);
• Good understanding of automation, Infra as code : Shell script Terraform, Rundeck, Python, Ansible;
• Good understanding of container platforms such as EKS/PKS/Kubernetes;
• Good understanding of microservice, event-management based architectures and Spring boot type infrastructure;
• Experience with middleware integration platforms (Apache) and with Monitoring tools : Grafana, ELK (Kibana), Splunk, Prometheus;
• Experience of application architecture, in particular cloud-based and related concepts and services AWS Config, AWS S3;
• Experience in software development and Information System integration architecture design and patterns, in multi-platform and multi-architectural context;
• Expertise in IT integration projects defining business and system integration requirements;
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA, Agile methodologies and Enterprise Architecture and modelling tools and standards;
• Experience in monitoring and coordinating a portfolio of SW reusable components and support teams. Expertise in designing, implementing and monitoring service KPIs and SLAs;
• Knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, message-oriented middleware, event architecture);
• Certifications on Linux, Database Administration and AWS RDS would be considered an asset;
• Excellent command of the English language, French would be considered an asset.
