Junior System Engineer- Belgium (Hybrid)

We are looking for a Junior System Engineer to join our dynamic team in Belgium. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting software on hardware systems, as well as building, installing, and maintaining IT infrastructure. You will be working in a hybrid environment, managing both remote and on-site tasks, ensuring smooth system performance and availability. The role provides an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise in systems administration and automation, while benefiting from a flat team structure and professional development support.
Language: Dutch, French, and English (fluency in at least two languages required)
Key Responsibilities:
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot system software on hardware
Build, install, and maintain IT infrastructure
Write and maintain Bash, Python, and Golang scripts for system automation
Monitor systems using Icinga and create dashboards in Grafana
Support virtualization platforms like KVM/QEMU
Implement automation using Ansible and Puppet
Configure and manage web servers, DNS, databases (Postgre SQL, My SQL), LDAP, and SSH
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Linux and Unix systems
Collaborate with teams to ensure system resilience and security
Qualifications:
Experience with Linux and Unix operating systems
Strong knowledge of Bash, Python, and Golang scripting
Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as Icinga and metrics like Victoria Metrics.
Experience with virtualization technologies (KVM/QEMU)
Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible and Puppet
Knowledge of web server configuration, DNS, LDAP, and database management
Fluency in Dutch, French, and English (at least two languages required)
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in hybrid environments.
