Your Role: Associate / Investment Manager:
You'll work closely with partners and senior team members on every aspect of venture capital—from sourcing deals to supporting our portfolio companies. This is an opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute meaningfully to our investment strategy.

At Fortino Capital, within our VC practice, we invest in early-stage companies (Seed and Series A), helping them reach their full potential, and we’re looking for an ambitious, tech-savvy professional to join us on this journey.


Your Key Responsibilities:

• Deal Sourcing: Be on the lookout for innovative investment opportunities, focusing on Saa S companies in Europe, with specific focus on Belgian market.
• Market Research & Strategy: Conduct in-depth market research to shape investment strategies and guide decisions.
• Due Diligence & Deal Execution: Support the team in evaluating potential investments, analyzing financials, and navigating the full investment process.
• Portfolio Support: Engage with our portfolio companies, providing project-based analysis and strategic guidance to drive growth.
• Industry Knowledge & Networking: Stay ahead of tech trends in the B2B Saa S world, attend industry conferences, and connect with startup founders at our CEO/CTO Summits and networking events like the Fortino- Gent Tech Soiree.
• Team Support: Lead operational processes such as financial reporting, marketing, or compliance to ensure smooth internal workflows.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• Experience & Passion: 2-3 years of experience in finance, consulting, tech, or startups, with a strong interest in venture capital and technology.
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Excel and Python is valued, and we appreciate those who self-learn.
• Storytelling in Slides: You're skilled in Power Point and can translate complex matter into succinct, structured and powerful narratives.
• Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Comfortable working with data, you can synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
• Connector & Communicator: Excellent networking and communication skills, allowing you to influence and build relationships with entrepreneurs.
• Integrity & Drive: A strong work ethic, independent drive, and a belief in transparency and ethical practices.
• Language Skills: Fluency in English & Dutch is required. French knowledge is an added benefit.
