Brazil - Health Insurance Verification Specialist

Teem is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Insurance Verification Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying patients' insurance coverage and ensuring accurate and timely claims processing.
Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage for patients, including eligibility and benefits
- Contact insurance companies for verification and pre-authorization
- Update patient records with verified insurance information
- Review and resolve any insurance discrepancies or issues
- Collaborate with medical billing team to ensure proper billing and claims submission
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and insurance companies
- Previous experience in medical insurance verification
- Experience working with US based companies
- Knowledge of US medical insurance terminology and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Proficiency in using medical billing software
- Format into sections and lists to improve readability
- Avoid targeting specific demographics e.g. gender, nationality and age
