ABOUT THE CHALLENGE AND THE OPPORTUNITY
Autocompara is Santander’s biggest and fastest growing insurtech, with over Eur 100mm in gross fees generated per year and growing at 13% annually. It is a motor insurance comparison engine distributing products from the leading insurance companies in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Poland. Autocompara distributes to customers mainly through the channels of Santander banks (e.g., branches, App…) and additionally in Mexico and Brazil with direct-to-consumer through its own digital channels. It is the market leader in Mexico, Brazil, and Chile with 35%, 6% and 23% market share. Autocompara has a big opportunity ahead. It can double its business in the coming years by boosting the direct-to-consumer business through its own channels and entering in new segments such as the business-to-business-to-consumer. To capture this opportunity – and to unlock benefits of scale in growth, technology, and operations - we are integrating the technological platforms, teams and capabilities of Mexico, Brazil, and Chile under a single
holding company.
We are looking for an exceptional leader to lead our Brazilian business. Brazil CEO will be based in São Paulo and will report to the Autocompara General Manager as well as the CEO of Santander Brazil Insurance.

YOUR MISSION:
As the CEO of Autocompara Brazil, your mission will be to accelerate the growth of Autocompara Brazil and capture the benefits of integrating the local operation into a regional
platform. More specifically this entails:
  • Leading the development and execution of the project of integrating into the regional platform, namely carving out of the technological platform, team, capabilities, and IP, ensuring the operational continuity of the business.
  • Ensuring that all synergies and benefits from the integration into a regional platform are captured.
  • Delivering Autocompara Brazil’s business plans.
  • Securing the position of Autocompara as the #1 player in the direct-to-consumer business in the country.
  • Consolidating and strengthening the business that is made through the channels of the local bank (e.g., branches, Santander App). Ensuring Autocompara is always seen as a key product within local bank.
  • Ensuring Autocompara is well integrated and aligned with local bank and the WM&I Division in terms of strategy, governance, and goals.
  • Building a team of high-performance achievers, attracting, and maintaining the best talent at a local level.
  • Being an inspirational leader for Autocompara, establishing a positive culture of high performance, agility, and ambition where all teams are motivated and aligned with the vision of the Business.
  • Managing and mitigating risks adequately and ensuring compliance of the business with internal policies and applicable regulations.
  • Maximizing Autocompara Brazil’s value for Santander Group whilst paving the way for a total/partial exit, or, alternatively, an IPO.
  • Optimizing capital resources and positioning the business as an attractive investment opportunity to potential investors.
  • Capturing opportunities in adjacent and complimentary businesses that do not detract from Autocompara’s focus and add value to the company.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
The position will require proven and relevant experience with demonstrated track record of:
  • Driving demand and optimizing digital distribution of insurance products.
  • Establishing strong partnerships with different stakeholders, often balancing competing interest and priorities.
  • Coordinating and co-operating with different areas in digital businesses, including Technology & Operations and Product.
  • Leading and inspiring a high-performance, multifunctional team.
  • Navigating large organizations, establishing relationships, and positively influencing multiple stakeholders.
  • Executing, implementing, and realizing impact above concept and theory, making things happen whether big or small in ways that are more practical & swifter than perfect.
  • Managing a P&L of a business and delivering an ambitious budget.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of professional experience, of which at least 5 years within the abovementioned responsibilities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND TRAITS
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of digital and tech foundations:
o Digital distribution, customer acquisition and servicing.
o Technology and operations.
o Growth marketing (paid, embedded, affiliate marketing and organic).
  • Knowledge of insurance products, regulations, direct distribution, and industry practices around customer acquisition with a global perspective.
  • Proven track record of success in executive leadership roles.
  • Ability to work in a large multinational corporation with matrix structures leading change through positive influence across different units.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others (i.e., you are a "people person”).
  • Demonstrated ability to dive results and achieve business objectives.
  • Experience working in international teams with an ability to adapt to cultural differences.
  • High proficiency in Portuguese, and English. Spanish is highly desirable.
  • University Degree. MBA or postgraduate studies will be highly valued.
