About the jobWe are seeking for a IT Product Owner with focus on Manufacturing and will be responsible for all the technologies enabling Manufacturing processes, for the Danone Factories in the Americas (United States, Canada, Brazil and Mexico). The IT & Data Americas organization is designed using agile framework and product end-to-end responsibility.
The Product owner Manufacturing reports into the Manufacturing and Warehousing Senior Product Owner, responsible of the overall end-to-end manufacturing, warehousing and logistics technologies.
In partnership with the global organization, regional teams and local business in markets, this role defines and implements the Product Vision for Manufacturing, creates and maintains the overall backlog for projects and evolutions for existing IT solutions while driving the transition to digital manufacturing technologies, obsessed by value creation for the business.
This role will have managerial responsibilities, with a staff of approximately 3 Product Analysts; and supported by 7-10 internal / external Chapter roles (or technical specialists).
Business Strategy / Strategic Vision

• Owns the vision of the Manufacturing product, its definition, and the associated value.

• Is accountable for building and sustaining the backlog, arbitrating among different needs and priorities, and the delivery and performance of the IT Manufacturing technologies.

• Ensures consistency between the needs of end-users and stakeholders as reflected in the vision of the product, its delivery, and its deployment & adoption.

• Understands the business needs and translates them into the backlog with the support of Product Analyst(s), envisioning different solutions to those needs.

• Evaluates the costs and benefits of different options with input from the product squad to optimize value creation. Owns the cost model of the product.

• Prioritizes, plans, and communicates on the steps identified to deliver the product.

• Handles simultaneously product discovery and delivery in an adaptative, incremental and iterative manner.

• Establishes partnership with leading technology providers.

• Defines, implements, and actively uses actionable KPIs to manage the reach and quality of IT Manufacturing technologies and to identify potential risks and opportunities

People Management Responsibilities:

• The Product Owner will manage one or several internal or external Product Analysts (as part of the product ownership group) acting as a Servant Leader for the benefit of the Product Team and the Organization and driving the Product Team’s work through the product’s backlog (content and prioritization).

• Business Partnering . . . Be a business translator! Ability to assemble, analyze, and evaluate data and to be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to the Business stakeholders and the Project / Development Teams

• Ability to rapidly understand business requirements, communicate business expectations to cross-functional development teams, document data findings that can be easily understood, structured, and detailed oriented profile

• Experience with Product and Agile Management methodology

• User Experience / Design Thinking / Data Visualization

• Knowledge of Framework Scrum

• Ability to synthesize to write user stories

• Knowledgeable about user experience and value journey.

About you

• Bachelor’s or master's degree within a Business IT or Computer Science related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required

• Experience delivering IT Manufacturing technologies

• Demonstrated Experience with one or multiple Technology products and platforms, such: SAP PP, SAP PM, SAP MM, MES (Manufacturing Engineering System), and newer Digital Technologies (Io T, paperless technologies)

• Experience in leading and building multicultural, remote teams

• Experience with CPG and working agile are desired

• Fluent in English and Spanish.
