About the role
As a Lead Android Developer on our Mobile team, you will oversee the technical life cycle of feature development, bug resolution, and technological enhancements. Your leadership will drive the delivery of high-quality solutions that impact millions of users. About the team
With over 20 years of industry experience, our mobile development team incorporates the latest mobile development technologies like Swift UI, Jetpack Compose, React Native, and Flutter, providing technical expertise to ensure success in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Our experts develop outstanding native and hybrid mobile apps for smart sensors, medical equipment, thermal imaging cameras, building automation systems, farm equipment, and many others.
Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of Android developers, providing technical guidance and support
Manage client expectations and ensure alignment with project goals
Research and adapt functionality to leverage existing Android design patterns
Architect and design scalable and maintainable software solutions
Work across disciplines with team members representing product, content, and web development
Code with Kotlin, Java, and Android frameworks
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of Android applications

Requirements

10+ years of software engineering
6+ years as an Android Developer
Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and mentoring a team
Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline
Strong proficiency working with Kotlin on Android is a plus
Experience publishing apps
Familiarity with back-end development
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Excellent understanding of managing limited resources (memory, network, CPU) efficiently
Excellent spoken and written English
Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
Versatile and adaptable to changing project requirements and environments
Ability to collaborate in a small team
Passion for improving education through technology
