ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the Manager FSEAP and the Manager of Operations provides a wide range of administrative support to the Manager of Operations and Manager, FSEAP, in particular, providing clerical support to the intake counsellors as assigned. This position also assists with the processing of billing and invoicing for programs/services as required. This position provides regular and backup reception as required.
ABOUT YOU
You have completed a grade twelve Secondary School Diploma with post-secondary education in business/office administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of two years in an office environment providing administrative support and front-line customer service
  • Experience with general office billing procedures (i.e. processing invoices)
  • Experience working in the social services and non-profit sector is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of computer systems and related software programs including Office 365

  • General knowledge of office procedures and filing systems
  • Working knowledge of telephone systems and equipment.
  • Understanding of cultural awareness and diversity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills
  • Meticulous, organized and accurate
  • Proven ability to manage multiple demands while still meeting deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external contacts
  • Ability to handle clients in an empathetic, courteous, and tactful manner

  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • This job involves light lifting of supplies and materials

  • This job involves sitting for long periods
  • This job provides front-line reception to clients
The schedule includes evening and occasional weekend shifts.
Language:
  • Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills in English; excellent verbal communication skills in French
The Job works primarily in an office setting. Evening and weekend work required. Must pass Vulnerable Sector Check before commencing first shift.
