Accounts Payable Administrator

We are looking to add a professional and pro-active individual to join our accounting team as a skilled Accounts Payable Administrator. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Payable Administrator will be the go-to person for all payable related matters for our domestic operations. The work is fast paced with tight deadlines.
Your responsibilities include:
· Receive invoices, check for completion and accuracy, investigate variances
· Prepare invoices for data-entry with GL coding, entering invoices into our ERP System
· Create, reconcile, and post ACH payments
· Perform scheduled payment runs; distribute cheques in a prompt and efficient manner
· Ensure that established policies and procedures are followed in all aspects of A/P functions
· Ensure integrity of A/P data
· Reconcile vendor accounts, as necessary
· Maintain filing system within A/P function
· Communicate with vendors and colleagues
· Prepare A/P reports, as required
· Assist with annual audit, as required
· Customs Administration, as required
· Additional duties, as assigned
What we are looking for:
· Minimum 2 years Accounts Payable experience in a fast paced and high-volume environment
· Experience in complex multi-entity and multi-currency environments
· Experience in a manufacturing environment and PO system
· Ability to work independently, problem solve, and assist others when needed
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· High attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills
· Showing initiative and ownership in every aspect of the job
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
· Experience with freight payables, an asset
· Syspro knowledge, an asset
· Experience with inter-company transactions, an asset
· General knowledge of accounting principles, an asset

Pay: $46,800.00-$52,000.00 per year
