Anchor Construction Industrial Products has been supplying the construction industry with power tools, anchors and fasteners and safety products for over 57 years. Through our 6 branches in Western Canada we provide the products, service and knowledge that makes us a premier supplier in our industry.
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee our accounting team.
Duties and Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, supervise accounts payable, supervise accounts receivable, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses, as needed.
Inventory management, SKU creation, data management , margin control, cost and sales pricing.
month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and other accounting duties in a timely manner.
Filing of regulatory returns (GST, PST, HET, WCB).
Prepare annual financial reports.
Organize information and statements for audits both internal and external.
Assist in year-end audit requests.
Complying with all local, provincial, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
Ensuring company complies with all additional legal and regulatory requirements.
Be a resource for accounts payable and receivable.
Run daily invoices to customers, batched credit card and other customer payments, and send monthly statements to customers.
Additional duties as needed.

Requirements

Ideal candidate has 5 to 10 years of experience in field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license required.
Excellent computer skills; Experience with Tecsys Streamline software a definite asset. Experience in Microsoft Office; Crystal Reports.
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members.

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
