Position Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

• Train and support faculty on the use of the College’s Learning Management System; this support may be provided on a scheduled or drop-in basis. May require the creation and training of materials in both text and video formats.
• Train and support faculty on the use of other tools, technologies, or software applications being used and/or piloted for education purposes (e.g., e Grades, Padlet, Zoom, Flex classroom technology, Microsoft products, and Microsoft Office Suite); this support may be provided on a scheduled or drop-in basis. May require the creation of training materials in both text and video formats to support educational technology.
• Liaise with the IT department, as appropriate, to maintain and support technologies and systems used for education purposes. Support the Teaching and Learning Innovation Hub team and College faculty and staff in the use of these technologies.
• Generate activity reports, stay current on technologies used for learning, and work with the Hub team on other initiatives to support its strategic directive

Qualifications

• A minimum of a three-year postsecondary diploma/degree or equivalent. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
• Minimum of two years' experience working with Learning Management Systems, along with experience in basic to advanced computer applications used in the design and delivery of learning materials.
• Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated diplomacy and tact.
• Must be a self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Commitment to working within a team environment.
