JOB SUMMARY
The Business Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting Marriott’s Adobe Analytics system. They will wear many hats and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors, and technical experts to empower data-driven decisions. This role is responsible for streamlining our tagging intake and output processes and ensuring effective communication. CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Information Systems, Marketing) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of directly relevant digital analytics experience
  • 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
  • In-depth understanding of Adobe Analytics configuration, administration, and data collection
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.


CORE WORK ACTIVITIES



Managing Work, Projects, and Policies

  • Process Improvement:
  • Streamline Workflows: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and pain points related to data collection, analysis, and reporting. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency of the teams involved..
  • Continuous Optimization: Monitor process changes and measure their impact on efficiency and effectiveness. Continuously seek opportunities for optimization.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Liaison Role: Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors. Facilitate effective communication by organizing meetings, workshops, and discussions.
  • Documentation: Document requirements, decisions, and project updates related to Adobe Analytics. Maintain clear and concise communication channels.
  • User Training: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users. Ensure that stakeholders understand the system’s capabilities and usage.
  • Documentation:
  • Comprehensive Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for Adobe Analytics processes, configurations, and user guidelines. Include process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user manuals.
  • Business Rules and Data Mapping: Capture and document business rules, data mappings, and data lineage. Ensure that relevant stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Requirements Elicitation:
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Work closely with business users to gather and document functional and non-functional requirements. Translate business needs into clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases.
  • Alignment with Organizational Goals: Validate requirements with stakeholders and ensure alignment with Marriott’s strategic objectives.

  • Works independently with minimal supervision, but knows when issues should be escalated to manager
  • Develops relationships with members of other teams, and leverages those relationships to answer questions
  • Presents work with clarity and confidence; explains complex matters so that others can understand them
  • Uses appropriate communication mechanisms (i.e. in-person conversation, Microsoft Teams chat, email, phone call) for each situation

  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by manager

The salary range for this position is $105,713 to $193,806 annually.
