Job Description
The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations at our pizzeria and deli, from menu development to staff management, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and innovation. You will play a key role in shaping our pizzeria’s identity, balancing authentic and modern approaches to pizza making while maintaining a high standard of food safety and customer satisfaction.
Keg Responsibilities:

• Lead daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
• Develop and refine the pizzeria menu, focusing on fresh ingredients and innovative recipes
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation are consistently excellent
• Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment according to health and safety standards
• Control food costs by managing inventory, reducing waste, and optimizing supply orders
• Innovate and introduce seasonal and special menu items to keep the offerings fresh and exciting
• Provide leadership and foster a positive, collaborative kitchen culture

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a chef, preferably with a strong background in pizzerias.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing kitchen staff and operations
• Passion for creating outstanding food and a commitment to excellence
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety protocols, and operational efficiency
• Ability to develop and execute creative menu items, keeping up with food trends
• Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of food cost management and portion control
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and either reside in the local area or be willing to commute.
