As an IT Manager working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a pivotal role in understanding the technical needs of your team members and providing effective solutions to support business needs. In supporting our team members working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will ensure that your co-workers have the best available IT support and solutions needed to get the job done.

As an IT Manager working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a pivotal role in understanding the technical needs of your team members and providing effective solutions to support business needs. In supporting our team members working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will ensure that your co-workers have the best available IT support and solutions needed to get the job done.
What You Will Do

Manage a team of technicians and network managers.

Ensure that the company is innovative in its equipment, networking and security.

Study, analyze and help make decisions on the company's technical/technological needs.

Ensure the evolution of our equipment over time vs. budget.

Guide network and technical decision-making.

Evaluate the feasibility of requests and needs.

Ensure efficiency of existing technical team.

Participate in various technology shows and exhibitions.
- Ensure the smooth running of the technical department.
This role could be for you if you have
-
Bachelor's degree in computer science (an asset).
-
5 to 10 years' experience in a similar position.
-
Excellent knowledge of general networking.
-
Excellent management skills.
-
Knowledge of the construction industry (an asset).

Be rigorous, autonomous, efficient and organized.
- Have an analytical mind.
