GENERAL SUMMARY
This role is supporting critical, time-sensitive field technology including implementation of systems, technology enhancements and understanding of all systems potential failure points for troubleshooting. Through a team of technical specialists, supports Pickup & Delivery, sortation, dock, scheduling and other systems by collaborating with field station operations, district staff, relevant Corporate departments and Fed Ex Services IT to ensure all operational processes and applications are properly supported. Will work with Critical System Support Engineering to provide resolution of system issues through thorough understanding of all potential failure points. Develops reporting/metrics and training materials. Responsible for the development and execution of strategic roadmaps to meet the future needs of FXG operations.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of a degree, four (4) additional years to the minimum experience below in Engineering, Field Operations Management or related area will be considered equivalent.
  • Five (5) years in Engineering, Field Operations Management or related area required. Management/Field Operations Management preferred
  • Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
  • Technical knowledge of field operations, P&D, scheduling systems preferred
  • Verbal and written communication and presentation skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.
  • Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures related to financial concepts and cost structure
  • Tactical and strategic decision making ability
