The Opportunity
The Met Hotel is located in the historic Burr Block building in downtown New Westminster. Steeped with history, the Met is one of New Westminster’s favourite places to hang out with friends and co-workers.
What You’ll Do
What You’ll Do

Investigate problems further by verifying all revenue and expenses were claimed, preparing the next day’s reports, including reconciling accounts with proficiency
Must have open availability for audit shifts. Audits shifts are overnight from (11:30 pm-7:30 am)
Provide exceptional guest experience while maximizing the hotel’s profitability while simultaneously providing supervision, training, coaching, motivation, and policy implementation.
Ensure customer satisfaction, and handles any requests that may arise on an ad hoc basis
Provide courteous, professional and pleasant phone manner
Guest check-ins and outs, promptly, professionally with a welcoming manner
Answering internal and external phones and transferring to proper departments
Answering the reservation line and assisting guests with bookings or inquiries.
Handling guest complaints and concerns in an efficient and timely manner
Must follow procedures and policies implemented by the Hotel
Provide tourist information to Hotel guests
Performing general office duties
Responsible for cash float and processing proper form of payment
Balance all accounts, statements and clerk batch’s

What You Have

Must Have 1-2 years experience in hotel or travel agent experience
Must be detailed orientated, self-motivated and reliable
Solid customer service skills
Experience handling hotel’s cash flow
Must be able to identify and communicate and issues as soon as they arise
Must be currently living in B.C., Canada.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered
