The People People, on behalf of our client WINMAR, have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Regional Manager.
Position Overview
Reporting to the VP Operations/Regional Vice President, the Regional Manager - Business Development is responsible for driving business revenue through seeking avenues for expansion and growth, seeking opportunities for diversification, presenting proposals for change based on internal and external financial metrics, best practice industry trending and building relationships with new and with existing clients. The Regional Manager – BD will work with the Regional VP, marketing staff, and other managers to increase sales opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization. He / She may manage the activities of others responsible for developing business for the company. Strategic planning is a key part of this role, where thorough knowledge of the market is required. In collaboration with the Regional VP, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for improving the performance, productivity and efficiency with their respective region. Additionally, they may be asked to assist the Regional VP and / or VP of Commercial and Insurance accounts with file resolution and client relationship when required. The Business Development Manager must have an in-depth understanding of the services WINMAR®provides, as well as of the company’s competitors.
Job Duties
Business Development and Marketing
  • Identify potential new clients, research, and build relationships Cold call as appropriate within the market to ensure robust opportunities. Meet with potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging WINMAR®’s network.
  • Maintain client retention, manage existing clients, & ensure they remain satisfied & positive.
  • Participate in completing Requests for Proposal/Quotes (RFP/ RFQ) for new & existing clients.
  • Assess new markets and identify new business opportunities that align optimally with WINMAR®services. Identify and communicate those business opportunities and competitive trends to Management.
  • Drive the sales department, develop proposals for new initiatives, and seek ways to optimize, improve and grow current services.
  • Incorporate new sales ideas into daily business while understanding WINMAR®’speople and capabilities.
  • Advise on corporate business planning using market intelligence and analysis of data to optimize revenue and profits.
  • Attending industry conferences, meetings, and industry events to develop and sustain industry networks, to stay current in all industry trends and to keep well informed on future directions.
  • Conduct ongoing research of trends, competitor performance, and industry best practices while presenting findings clearly, effectively and with a defined path to execution where appropriate.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop WINMAR®’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Conduct financial studies and develop fully costed proposals for new business opportunities, new products and services, new affiliations and acquisitions and timely and potentially profitable divestitures.
Operations
Provide operational support as needed to the VP Operations/Regional Vice President which includes but is not limited to.
  • Assist in both short-term and long-term strategic planning throughout your region.
  • Coordinate efforts and co-conduct monthly and / or quarterly regional meetings with Franchisee Owners and / or General Managers within your region; review previous month’s leads, sales, internal scorecard results, training updates and strategic goals
  • Ensure local offices are up to date on training for WINMAR® practices and protocols
  • Develop and maintain consistency within each office located in the region
  • Collaborate with the Regional VP for operational effectiveness and implementing changes where required.
  • Ensure local offices are complying with all WINMAR® brand assets
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
  • Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property and information.
  • Attend and participate in the coordination of efforts / provide support with Catastrophes throughout the various Regions across the Country as a member of WINMAR®National Cat Team
  • Comply with all WINMAR®policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements.
  • Attend all WINMAR®sponsored training courses.
  • Other tasks as assigned
Responsibilities
  • Human Resources: Maintain employee confidentiality and performance management by coaching leading, mentoring, and motivating employees.
  • Safety: Verify all WINMAR® documents are completed accurately; maintaining employee records and compliance; ensuring compliance of all employees and subcontractors with local laws and WINMAR® policy at all WINMAR® locations and job sites
  • Accountability: Ability to identify measures of performance and actions needed to improve or correct performance, ensuring accuracy and documentation.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with our staff and customers, both verbal and written.
  • Leadership: Ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor progress of all direct reports
  • Time Management: Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary Sales & Marketing course / certification, and / or 3 + years’ experience in related field
  • Construction / Restoration / Insurance experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles, and practices
  • Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per WINMAR®’s vehicle policy
  • Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent collaborations and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills.
  • Driven, enthusiastic and intuitive.
  • A proven track record in strong presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Sales Management, Marketing and Strategic and Business planning.
  • Advanced computer and/or tablet/i Pad experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Google Suite
  • Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested
  • Travel is required

Physical Demands
  • Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs., unassisted (from 35-65% of the time)
  • Occasional lifting from 41 lbs. +, assisted (up to 50% of the time)
  • Access and mobility in tight spaces
