- Change, fly cut, and square plywood accurately.
- Maintain appropriate grease and oil levels for optimal machine performance.
- Prioritize and plan nest schedules based on SVIM lists and production requirements.
- Operate various tools including vacuum lifts and handle materials such as honeycomb panels and metal stringers.
- Print work instruction cards, create metal tags for parts, and manage documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Machinist training or an apprenticeship is preferred, but not required.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a machining or manufacturing setting
- Proficient in reading and interpreting complex drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with handling metal, devising test setups, and interpreting test results.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Technical Proficiency: You have a solid understanding of mechanical systems and are adept at reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches. Experience with CNC machinery, particularly Thermwood machines, is highly desirable.
- Attention to Detail: Precision is critical in this role. You must have the ability to perform tasks with high accuracy, ensuring that all specifications are met without error, as mistakes could lead to equipment damage or production delays.
- Self-Starter: While you will receive general guidance, the ability to work independently and establish your own methods of operation is crucial. You should be comfortable making decisions and adapting to changing priorities without direct supervision.
- Problem-Solving Skills: You are capable of identifying issues and developing practical solutions in real-time. This includes managing machine setups and adjustments based on production needs.
- Safety-Oriented: A strong commitment to workplace safety, adhering to all safety standards, and actively participating in safety trainings and protocols.
