Guru Trading Ltd. is a long established company in Surrey, BC, focused on the manufacture and distribution of Food Service items. It is the only firm in Canada, manufacturing plastic party trays which are distributed nationally. As a firm, we distribute a variety of Food Service items throughout Canada, and to almost every single restaurant and food service company in Western Canada.
Guru Trading has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years, and we are now seeking a permanent VP of Operations to join our team. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the President, the Vice President Operations oversees the planning, directing and coordination of operations to ensure the optimal customer experience. In addition, due to the extreme growth of the company, we are looking for an individual with relevant experience in CRM software operation, installation, management and integration. The candidate should also have relevant experience in software development in order to customize CRM requirements, and take the next step for our company in launching full online B2B services.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provision for overall management, business leadership, development, and supervision for the branches within the assigned area of responsibility.
· The creation, execution, and achievement of annual budgets, policies and manufacturing objectives for the branches within the assigned area of responsibility.
· Present to all stakeholders, including senior management, as required.
· Achieve sales growth and profitability for all areas in division.
· Negotiate with main suppliers for all raw material sourcing.
· Achieve asset management goals of turn and aging as well as protection of company assets, including but not limited to new and used inventory while providing for the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and market share goals.
· Management of all manufacturing operations, warehouse management and process workflows.
· Integration of technology solutions including CRM software, to manage operations more efficiently.
· Management and development of all employees within the Division with the goal of building a motivated and successful workforce focused on long term success for the company, customers and employees.
· Establish targets for Managers and evaluate their performance through the use of KPI’s as provided by the Company.
· Achieve market share goals as agreed for the long-term success of our manufacturer and the company.
· Attract, develop, and retain senior employees.
· Communicate and action all directives established by Head Office throughout the assigned operations.
· Focus on continuous improvement of the operating location within the area of responsibility.
· Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum 5 years in the operations and distribution industry accompanied by a minimum of 5 years in management and/or business operations experience.
· Minimum 4 years College Degree in Business, Finance, Operations or Computer Engineering. Having a Masters Degree would be an asset.
· Previous sales and product support experience.
· Sound financial understanding along with cost management, business planning and goal setting with management.
· A professional and resourceful style; the ability to work independently and as a team player, to lead by example, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on developing and maintaining good customer relations.
· This is on hands position, which requires the candidate to be physically present at the office, not remote. Must have own transportation.

SALARY:
Starting salary at CAD $75.00 per hour, based on 40 hour work week.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
