Job Function Summary

The APAC Business Ethics Audit and Investigations Manager will be responsible for:

Contributing to the development and implementation of Coloplast’s Business Ethics audit and investigations program in collaboration with stakeholders
Conducting financial, operational and compliance audits in line with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, primarily in APAC region
Performing end-to-end investigations into reported misconduct in APAC region in line with company guidelines and professional best practices
Identifying gaps and risks, providing effective recommendations for process & control improvements based on root causes identified, and monitoring the implementation of management follow up actions
Close cross-functional cooperation with internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal, HR, Finance), the management and coordination of external advisors
Providing regular and ad hoc summary reports to the management on audit and investigation activities.
Developing and delivering training to raise awareness of internal controls, business integrity, and fraud prevention across the region
Supporting other departmental initiatives related to business ethics, audit and investigations
Promoting ethical behavior and supporting Coloplast’s business ethics programs across the region

Major Areas of Accountability

Tactical and operational responsibility and daily organizational interaction

Executing on Coloplast’s business ethics compliance programmes by conducting audits and test of controls
Conducting, coordinating, and supporting compliance investigations and supporting the development of appropriate responses, including remedial measures
Preparing investigation mandates
Follow-up on all ongoing regional investigation and reporting to the Ethics Hotline Group on a bi-weekly basis on all open cases
Partnering with investigators if they need guidance on how to conduct the investigations
Notifying the reporting individual of investigation status, including notification of case closures
Draft regular audit reports and presentations
Supporting assessment and management of business ethics compliance risks (identification, assessment, prioritization, mitigation and management) at regional and country/site level

Strategic interaction with executive management and other senior leadership and external stakeholders

Contributing to setting the Group business ethics compliance auditing strategy in collaboration with the Group Chief Compliance Officer, Head of Audit and Investigations, Corporate Finance, and other stakeholders
Contribute and support preparation of Group Business Ethics & Compliance’s information for independent reporting to Coloplast’s Audit Committee on investigations, audits and compliance risks
Assisting external auditors when they do audit related for business ethics (e.g. annual external reporting)
Contribute to developing and implementing a business ethics compliance auditing/monitoring/control program
Support the establishment and implementation of global and local systems and processes to monitor activities and further the Coloplast Business Ethics & Compliance department’s monitoring and auditing program
Maintain a dialogue with other industry colleagues from professional audit organizations and commercial enterprises to keep abreast of industry issues and trends in audit processes and techniques and to ensure timely and diligent implementation of adequate measures in Coloplast
In coordination with the Compliance Officer of region APAC, communicate to senior management on business ethics & compliance investigations and auditing

Strategic and tactical interaction with global organization and with external parties

Conducting compliance reviews and audits, e.g. HCP/HCO related expense claims, HCP speaker and speaker fee payment, promotional materials, samples, and other areas with potential compliance risks.
Partnering with managers in other areas of the company to identify existing and new operational processes and systemic control support to prevent or detect unethical behaviour
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute solutions for business ethics compliance programs and initiatives
Providing recommendations to leadership on case intake and information collection processes for multiple global locations
Assessing business ethics and cultural risks across the Group and contributing to the development of mitigation measures in collaboration with business and regional compliance officers
Systematically organizing and analyzing data for ethics projects
Contributing to other Group business ethics compliance projects on ad hoc basis

Authorities (non-exhaustive list)

Performing and reporting on investigations mandated by the Ethics Hotline Group with the mandate to access all files and records across Coloplast that are necessary to conduct such investigations

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance/accounting, business administration, auditing, legal or similar
7+ years of relevant audit and investigation experience with a corporate company or accounting/consulting firm
A relevant professional certification (e.g. CFE, CIA) is highly desirable
Good understanding of audit principles, internal controls and risk management frameworks
Proven track record of leading and conducting audits/investigations in a multicultural environment
Strong analytical skills to correctly interpret complicated situations and provide clear, effective and actionable recommendations for the management
Solid report-writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and fact-based deliverables
Skilled at visually conveying complex information and processes in a clear and straightforward way
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI, etc.) and other reporting tools.
Knowledge of data analysis methods, SAP and e Discovery tools is preferred
Considerable project management and self-leadership skills, competence to set milestones and to deliver on time with high quality under limited managerial oversight
Comfortable working and learning both independently and as part of a global team
Forensic mindset with a healthy dose of professional skepticism enabling effective assessment of evidence, detection of inconsistencies, and identification of potential risks
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability and experience to build trust and relationships at all levels in the organization
Ability to travel internationally on occasion
Business fluent in both English and Mandarin
