Business Ops Manager

- 8+ years of sales operation and business analysis experience in strategic planning related roles, e.g. sales operations/planning, demand generation management, management consulting, and business analyst

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Amazon Web Services has also established an AI lab in Shanghai and two Io T labs in Shenzhen and Taipei. The Amazon Web Services Partner Network has thousands of Partners in China. Amazon Web Services has supported over 10,000 local startups and has provided cloud skills training to over 700,000 talents. Amazon’s first two utility-scale renewable projects—a solar farm and a wind farm—are also generating clean energy to the country’s grid.
Our Greater China Region Operations team is looking for a Business Operations Manager to support the team to meet organizational goals by designing and implementing best class business management system, conducting advancing data analysis for business insights and recommendations, and operating critical sales and customer related processes or program to accelerate business growth and optimize customer obsession.
This person should have demonstrated ability to thrive and achieve objectives in a highly matrix-oriented environment, creating and supporting productive cross-team working relationships and interacting with high performing team members. The position requires both the ability to implement formal cadence and process controls, as well as the ability to think and react quickly to changing conditions.
Key job responsibilities
To define and deliver the overall initiatives in business management system, reporting, analytics and business intelligence, so as to support business planning, business performance improvement and growth , Go-to-market design/implementation, seller capacity and daily sales operations.
Manage the development of continuously-evolving forecast and growth models and methodologies, quantitative analysis of the performance of our products/services, sales team, customer, prospects, partners
Engage stakeholders in Global Operations across the regions, to learn best practices and quickly replicate them into Greater China Region
Create and maintain project and program specifications for requirements, resourcing, work streams, schedules, milestones and risk management.
Maintain and deliver a cadence of cross-team meetings, weekly, monthly, quarter business reviews, dashboards and status reports for cross-team coordination and executive update. Prepare and present findings and recommendations to the senior management team in regular business review
Design or improve sales/customer related processes to improve customer experience and business development efficiency
