Head of Services and Solutions R&D China

- Create, maintain and communicate unit strategy, ensuring it is aligned with the long-term vision, mission, and objectives of KONE.
- Liaise with other Directors and Area Management Team members across KONE to ensure that the strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate objectives.
- Creating and maintaining technology roadmaps. Evaluate new technologies and advise the organisation on appropriate investments
- Estimate the costs, resources, and time required to implement the organisation's annual goals and monitor the unit’s performance to ensure targets are met.
- Oversee the budget; monitor the cost and effectiveness of Solution Creation activities to optimise resources, prioritise spending, and maintain professional standards. Manage the day to day activities of a team of researchers, project managers or engineers whose activities may include: devising research methods; building models and prototypes; calculating and analysing test results; preparing technical specifications; setting-up laboratory test equipment; and designing finalised products and solutions.
- Lead the research and development projects; evaluate findings; and prepare detailed reports with recommendations and conclusions.
- Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with the external scientific community.
- Select, and manage ongoing relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a R&D/PCM teams to ensure that research and development is conducted within established budgets and according to established standards.
- Responsible for driving a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
