Your Team Responsibilities
MSCI Sales Specialists are responsible for maintaining existing client relationships as well as new business development for MSCI products and services. This role is a highly visible one, with involvement in all aspects of an account including senior level relationship management, product presentations, contract negotiation, sales closing, product setup and delivery The team is expected to work very closely with global sales, global client service, marketing, research and product management as a lead coordinator for client engagements. This includes educating, positioning, and licensing MSCI’s products and solutions to clients in China.Your Key Responsibilities
· Achieve targeted quarterly and annual revenue goals· Develop strategic sales plan for allocated sales territory within China market· Develop strong sales pipeline for each allocated industry segment· Lead client engagement, needs assessment, and solution pitches· High-level contact with clients/prospects and other major industry participants· Address client inquiries regarding products and solutions· Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, finalized contracts· Work seamlessly with other departments (Consultant, Technical Sales Specialist, Client Service, Research, Product Management, Legal, Billing) to ensure that all client requests and inquiries are managed appropriatelyYour skills and experience that will help you excel
· Strong analytic and quantitative skills· Proven sales closing skills and demonstrable track record in business development· Superior time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects· Understanding of / experience dealing with major institutional investors, e.g. Asset Managers, Bank and Wealth Managers, Broker / Dealers, and Hedge Funds· Excellence in both individual achievement as well as teamwork with a diverse set of departments· Excellent presentation and communication skills· A self-starter and highly motivated· Excellence in spoken and written English and Mandarin required Desired Experience· Minimum 5-10 years of financial institution sales experience required; Service or coverage experience in Buy-Side segments(e.g. Asset Owner and Asset Management) preferred· Bachelor's Degree Required; MBA or Masters Degree preferred· CFA, FRM or similar finance related certifications a plus· Experience in Risk and /or Portfolio Management is a plusAbout MSCI
