Job Description

Job Summary:

Teledyne Scientific Cameras, one of the business units under Teledyne Digital Imaging, is looking for an application engineer working out of its Shanghai office. This position is an important member of Teledyne Scientific Cameras China's technical support team, primary responsibility is to work with Teledyne Scientific Cameras' global technical support team to provide superior support on customers applications based on the company’s imaging and spectroscopy solutions. As this is a customer facing role, strong communication skill is a must for the candidate. The candidate will work in team environment, will have ample opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.

Detailed Description:

Provide technical review and troubleshooting support to Teledyne Scientific Camera’s products, both remotely and in person

Good skill to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.

To effectively manage all Field Issues raised by customers by following Cooperate Servicing (RMA) Process.

Good communication with team and effectively working with the Factory group in addressing Root Cause and Probable Analysis issues that are identified. Assist in product training, application training and product demonstration.

Coordinate and support the company’s scientific imaging and spectroscopy marketing initiatives, with goals to improve company’s brand awareness and customer adoption of the company’s products/solutions: including: Actively organize and participate in the company's market activities, enhance the company's brand awareness, expand the market promotion of products, and cooperate with sales to expand the market

Develop and maintain core customers/accounts
Attend trade shows and appropriate industry meetings
Coordinate and support scientific imaging and spectroscopy marketing initiatives
Coordinate with the sales team to manage opportunities pipeline and improve win rate

Complete daily reports and work reports on time Complete other tasks arranged by the supervisor

Requirements:

A Bachelor or Master's Degree in Optics, Opto-electronics, Physics or equivalent.

Have a minimum of more than 1 year of working experience in spectroscopy or imaging.

Proficiency in both oral and written English

Must be self-motivated, and good teamwork spirit
