Billing Office Assistant – Healthcare Clinic

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Billing/Coding Manager to join our healthcare organization in Bogotá, Colombia. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures, as well as experience managing a team. Responsibilities:

Manage billing and coding operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the billing and coding department, ensuring all procedures are followed accurately and efficiently.
Ensure compliance with regulations: Stay up-to-date with local and international healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and coding standards to ensure compliance in all billing and coding activities.
Team supervision: Lead and manage a team of billing and coding specialists, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards are maintained.
Optimize billing processes: Develop and implement strategies to optimize the billing process, reduce errors, and improve the collection of payments.
Audit and review: Regularly audit billing and coding activities to identify errors, ensure accuracy, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Coordinate with other departments: Work closely with medical, administrative, and financial departments to resolve billing issues and ensure a smooth workflow.
Reporting and analysis: Prepare regular reports on billing activities, revenue cycle performance, and key metrics to management, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a management role.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and other medical coding standards.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and insurance policies in Colombia.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Benefits:

Competitive salary ranging from COP $2,000,000 to $2,500,000 monthly, based on experience and skills.
