Objective:


Provide technical support to the Product Development & Innovation department in the execution of Design Controls activities such as testing, documentation and validations of medical devices.


Necessary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Support engineers in the drafting of documentation for the design file of a product.
• Support engineers in the drafting of protocol, execution and drafting reports of laboratory, experimental tests and validations.
• Support engineers in the drafting and execution of Non-Conformances or CAPAs.
• Support engineers with the coordination and execution of any required inter-departmental activity.
• Support in prototyping and testing of new products and improvements to existing products.
• Any other special activity required by the department.

Relationships and Roles:

• Reports to RDI Sr Supervisor.
• Works with the Product Development and Innovation department, can work in one of three different areas: Implantables, Tools or Sustaining.

Job Specifications and Skills:

• University student of the career of Industrial Engineering, Industrial Production, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Biotechnology or related careers.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) at intermediate level.
• Desirable: knowledge of statistics and use of Minitab.

Other details:

• In person internship in Zona Franca Coyol, Alajuela.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (can be flexible depending on university schedule).
• Duration of internship: 6 months, with possibility to extension based on performance.
• This position does not include compensation
