Huntsman is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Specialist supporting the Huntsman International LLC Division located in San Jose, Costa Rica. This position will report to the Americas Regional L&D Manager.
In summary, as the Senior Learning & Development Specialist, you will:
Instructor Led Training - Facilitate learning and development programs related to business and leadership skills, which will include a combination of in-person and virtual delivery
Program Design – Assist with the instructional design of new programs.
E-Learning - Promote E-learning content and create development tracks with Linked In Learning
Learning & Development Programs – Assist with the annual planning process of gathering internal nominations, developing the annual calendar, and tracking of participants. Support the Americas Learning & Development Manager, Human Resources Business Partners, and Stakeholders with training coordination and logistics
Shared Services Center Learning Roadmap - Support the Shared Services learning roadmap for Costa Rica
Management Reporting – Generate HRIS reports, conduct data analysis, and provide executive summaries for management reporting
Leadership Assessments – Manage the third-party assessment process, which will include initiating new requests, communication with internal stakeholders, and generating reports.
Onboarding Program - Support the effective onboarding of all associates in Costa Rica
Learning Management System (LMS) – Assist with LMS requests and collaborate with the HR Shared Services organization on providing LMS support across the region
Vendor Management – Request new vendor creation, manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders, process invoices, and collaborate with the purchasing group as needed
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, which includes experience in Learning and Development.
- Prior experience facilitating training both in person and virtually. Fluency in English required.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred, experience with Workday Learning is a plus.
- Prior experience with leadership assessments is a plus.
- Valid U.S. visa.
Skills and knowledge
- Facilitation – Facilitation skills with delivering training to groups, both in person and virtually. Able to effectively engage the participant group. Leverages prior experience in providing relevant scenarios and examples with application of the training content
- Communicates Effectively – Develops and delivers communication both verbal and written, in a manner which provides a clear understanding to the targeted audience. Keeps stakeholders informed and conveys information clearly, concisely, and professionally when speaking or writing.
- Collaboration – Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders across the organization to meet shared objectives. Shows appreciation for others’ ideas and input by demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Planning and Organizing – Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently with planning, organizing, and prioritizing Learning and Development activities to meet business objectives.
- Action Planning – Identifies and performs necessary actions to deliver Learning and Development programs.
- Managing Change and Ambiguity – Ability to adapt to change and perform well in an ambiguous environment
- Managing Complexity – Makes sense of complex and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems independently. Able to analyze complex issues from multiple angles, explores issues to uncover root causes, and able to understand the consequences and impactions of different solutions
