The director of the CEITEC Brno University of Technology is opening a position for:
Research Assistant - Microscopy

Job Description
Research Group Fabrication and Characterisation of Nanostructures is seeking a research assistant with experience in microscopic and spectroscopic techniques.

Characterization of wide bandgap semiconductors by advanced microscopic and spectroscopic techniques.
Data evaluation: advanced image analysis, quantification of spectroscopic data.
Design if simple physical models: emission of SE electrons in the vicinity of p-n and n-n+ junctions in wide bandgap semiconductors.

Requirements

Proven hands-on experience with electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy.
Know-how on principles of analytical techniques fro wide bandgap semiconductor analysis.
Knowledge of Python programming and use of Image J (image analysis).
Applications of physics in engineering problems.
Excellent team working skills, self-motivation, initiative and persistence.
Good communication skills, fluent written and spoken English.

Employment Conditions and Contact

Anticipated start date: 1.1.2025.
Work in general science laboratories.
Part-time job, 10 hours per week.
Six weeks of holidays.
