What you’ll do:
Position title: SAP Labs i Xp Intern – Sustainability Software Developer
Location: Brno, Czech Republic
Expected start date October/November/December 2024
Pursose and objectives
Global challenges, such as social inequality, resource depletion and waste, and the growing climate crisis, are triggering increased stakeholder expectations and new regulations and turned sustainability from a “nice-to-have” to a core business imperative.
Sustainability Control Tower (SCT)
Our team is responsible for a new SAP cloud offering which provides the Platform and Capabilities to enable holistic and integrated Sustainability Performance Management including:

Data management: Integrates financial, operational, environmental, social, and compliance data from various applications,
-
Performance insights and improvements: Creates actionable insight and initiates projects to drive Sustainability Performance across the organization,
-
Stakeholder reporting and Communication: Communicate progress to both internal and external stakeholders.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As the Backend Software Developer for Sustainability Control Tower, you will take over responsibility for the following tasks:

Assist in developing cloud applications that support customers in their sustainable business transitions.

Collaborate with team members in an agile process to implement and improve features.

Contribute to code reviews, testing, and feature development while receiving mentorship from senior developers.
What you bring:
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

Active university student status. Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, economics, or a related field.

Good knowledge of Java required
-
Understanding of object-oriented programming and common data structures.

Willingness to learn and develop your skills in version control (e.g., Git), APIs, database design, and testing.

Any experience with Java Script/Type Script is a plus but not required.
