About the team
SAP Labs are research and development locations that build and improve SAP core products. With 20 labs in 17 countries, SAP Labs drive thought leadership globally as well as in their local ecosystems, allowing SAP to innovate, grow, and succeed.
The Lab in Brno operates in four major development areas: Globalization Services, Application Innovation Services, S/4HANA User Experience and S/4HANA Finance directly supporting thousands of active SAP customers. Developers are directly involved in the newest products, which SAP plans to bring to market, using the latest technology such as in-memory computing, cloud-based applications, and advanced user interfaces.


What you’ll do:
Position title: SAP Labs i Xp Intern – Associate Data Scientist
Location: Brno, Czech Republic
Expected start date: December 2024 / January 2025


In this role, you’ll:
You will grow your career in data science, development of AI/ML tools or working on thesis in this field to join the SAP Lab in Brno.

• Development and Maintenance of AI/ML-based applications
• Contribution to multiple end-to-end applied AI/ML projects
  
• Develop and maintain AI/ML-based application which helps us with Proactive Maintenance
  
• Analyze internal and customer data and propose new ideas/use-cases help
  
• Work closely with other teams
  
• Implement ML-based intelligent software within a given software architecture following the SAP product standards, process, and maintenance strategy

Who you are:
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
Ideal candidate is bright, articulate and motivated student who is currently on course for a degree with the following key competencies:

• Active student university status
  
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written) German Language as advantage
  
• Overview of AI/ML algorithms, concepts, and technique
  
• Knowledge of the Python programming language
  
• Overview of the software architecture in cloud or micro-services
  
• Communication skills
  
• Analytical, problem-solving skills
  
• Ability to bring forth new ideas and drive them to execution
  
• Focus on pragmatic and efficient solution
