VSS OPEX Quality Manager

We are looking for a OPEX Quality manager to join our Operational Excellence team within our Semiconductor Service Division at Edwards, part of the Atlas Copco Group.


The successful candidate will support, develop, and continually improve the Quality systems and processes across our Vacuum Semi Service (VSS) Division. This is a global role which is crucial for leading and managing the continuous improvement of Service Technology Centre (STC) processes across Asia, EMEA and USA.


We are looking for the role to be based near our STC in either Brno, Czech Republic or Arizona, USA.

Main Responsibilities:

• Implement OPEX Quality Strategy: Support the VSS Division in communicating and implementing the strategy.
• Customer Satisfaction: Identify and resolve issues impacting customer satisfaction.
• Warranty Management: Manage and report on warranty reduction and best practices.
• Continuous Process Improvement: Conduct process risk analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Training and Auditing: Develop training materials and support audit activities.
• Global Process Standardization: Drive adherence to and standardization of global processes.
• Metrology Requirements: Support defining new metrology requirements and capabilities to meet business needs.
• SHE Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with Vacuum Techniques Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Policy.
• Business Process Management: Develop, administer, and support the Business Process Management structure for VSS OPEX and STC Operations.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience Needed:

• Education: HND or Degree in engineering/quality or science discipline desirable.
• Certifications: Lead Auditor (ISO 9001:2015), Six Sigma Black/Green Belt desirable.
• Experience: 5 years in Quality Engineering, 2 years in project improvements, international experience, and customer-facing roles.
• Skills: Strong communication, project management, technical problem-solving, and advanced MS Office skills. SAP knowledge is highly desirable.
