Bankdata is on a journey – a journey into cloud. As one of the main data centrals for Danish banks, we have the ambition to continuously offer our customers strong services, that build on the technology available today and tomorrow.

We are moving to public cloud in a secure and controlled manner, which means that we today have two platforms established, namely Azure and AWS. We are currently maturing these to be more available for critical solutions, so that more developers at Bankdata can build solutions te.

Our team, the Cloud Center of Excellence, is a strong team enthusiastic about enabling Bankdata in cloud. We are based in Fredericia and Aarhus, and you will be based in Aarhus with half the team. This consists of 2 fellow cloud engineers, a student worker and your manager Trine Hennessy. In Fredericia we have 3 fellow cloud engineers, one of which is also our cloud architect. We collaborate extensively online and meet up face to face on different occasions.

As a Cloud Center of Excellence, we have a broad pallet of customers, both internal developers, supporting functions, our member banks and ot collaboration partners. We work on the strategic initiatives of our cloud journey, support daily requests and are responsible for cloud platform management. The type of work tefore varies extensively, while also having some uniformity to them.
Your tasks will include:

• Platform engineering: Ensuring that Bankdata continuously has the most secure, scalable and resilient platform in AWS.
• Adoption support: Help our platform and dev teams utilizing the cloud (advisory, design and implementation support).
• Platform operations: Ongoing tasks related to cloud platform operations, security and auditing solutions.

You will be invited to participate in tasks from day one and would be joining an open and collaborative team, that values sharing and bringing new technologies into play.

We work in an agile setup, we we touch base and follow up daily, as well as bi-weekly planning of the larger deliverables. As a team we have much freedom to plan our day individually and we all benefit from this flexibility and trust.

As we have started out with Azure, we have more experience e and currently we look to expand our team with more AWS expertise. This is we you come in.

You:

• Are passionate about cloud with hands on experience and curiosity about new technologies
• Consider yourself an expert and enjoy setting up and automating solutions in AWS
Take pride in making sure that we have a solid foundation in our platform, and takes responsibility for daily platform operations,
• eunder our role in finops
• Find it easy to explain and enable users with design and adoption support
• Possess a drive to support a change with customers in mind
• Enjoy diving into details, focused on precision and able to take a view from the helicopter as well

We are looking for 2 cloud engineers, so don’t hesitate to apply whet you are very experienced or have just a few years under your belt.
