The position
As Category Project Lead, your role involves participating in and leading procurement projects related to M&A and pipeline projects. You will be the one in BPRM who is on top of all activities in the department related to M&A and pipeline projects and you will be the link to our Center of Excellence for Alliance, Acquisitions & Product Portfolio Management.
You will be ensuring operational, tactical, and strategic planning for the BPRM aspects of M&A and pipeline activities, including ensuring organizational readiness as well as budgeting.
Your primary responsibilities include:
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for matters related to strategic sourcing of bioprocessing and raw materials in mergers and acquisitions
  • Developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for M&A and pipeline projects
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and issues, and implementing strategies to mitigate them
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams across Novo Nordisk to ensure seamless integration of acquired companies and assets into the organization, from a BPRM angle
  • Identifying and creating improvements to processes to increase efficiencies
You will also engage with stakeholders from acquired companies to understand their processes and requirements, providing expertise and guidance on procurement matters during the mergers and acquisitions as well as with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with the overall integration strategy.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you:
  • Hold a Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and/or project portfolio management experience
  • Possess a proven track record of both successful project and category management, coupled with experience with strategic sourcing and supplier management
  • Showcase solid communication and negotiation skills
  • Display proficiency in both spoken and written English
It would be considered as a strong advantage if you have experience or knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory requirements.

About the Department
In SSIMS, we are responsible for supporting Product Supply by securing capacity at suppliers for inbound materials and services to internal production facilities. Here, we have a wide set of capabilities spread across three category departments and two Centres of Excellence, with around 70 employees currently located in Bagsværd but moving to Taastrup by the end of the year.
You will join the Bioprocessing & Raw Materials department which is responsible for all the bioprocessing and raw materials used globally by Novo Nordisk. We secure timely, robust, long-term supply, securing manufacturing of NN Products, through SSIMS Core Disciplines, maximizing value creation for Novo Nordisk in alignment with NN strategy.
