We are seeking a passionate Corporate Legal Counsel to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role within the area of Corporate Legal and Transactions in Group Legal. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.
You will be joining the Group Legal team at our Corporate Headquarters in Hellerup, Denmark consisting of 8 colleagues. You will be part Corporate and Transactions legal function within Group Legal and report to Anders Carstensen, Head of Corporate Legal and Transactions,who is also based in Hellerup, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Support the establishment and maintenance of legal entities in EU and US, including drafting of corporate documents, coordinating with external legal advisors, and supporting our commercial management teams abroad within corporate legal matters.
• Support various types of corporate transactions.
• Support key internal stakeholders, including the Finance Department, Tax Department, HR and Incentives departments, Regulatory Department, Alliance Management and external partners.

Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a Master of Laws or Business Law – and at least 3 years of experience within corporate law.

Key competencies:
It is highly important that you have an interest in and ambition to learn more about the legal complexities within the life science industry. You are a strong team player, analytical, and have a can-do attitude.
You possess excellent communication skills and can thrive in an informal, open environment where innovation and change are key. You are detail-oriented, when required, and have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
To succeed in this role, we also expect you to be able to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams and to be able to exercise great legal and professional judgment in your work.
You have excellent skills in English and Danish (professional level), both written and spoken, and you master Microsoft Office.
Travel: 0-10days per year.
