Danske Bank has been on a transformational journey to consolidate multiple sites into new world class data centre facilities to support all of the Bank’s IT infrastructure. In a drive to take this programme to the next level we are now looking for a Data Centre Specialist to manage data centre operations and lead process improvement initiatives across the data centre organisation.
Your role
As our new Data Centre Specialist you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the physical and technological infrastructure within the whitespace of the data centre by optimising DCIM Tools and coordinating activities within the data centre operations team to ensure that quality standards are met.
The role will entail working closely with colleagues within the data centre services function and internal colleagues from across technology and third-party vendors to deliver. This role will also give you an opportunity to cover high level interaction and overview of other IT areas such as networks, compute, storage, mainframe and security.
Responsibilities

• Manage data centre operations following industry best practices
• Provide assistance to Smart Hands engineers to ensure proper maintenance, operation and deployment of equipment
• Perform periodic inspections of equipment installs to ensure correct placement and inventory
• Manage incident, problem and change management requests in ITSM
• Ensure adherence to audit and compliance reviews by documenting all processes and procedures
• Utilize DCIM to report on key measures and metrics but also to maintain equipment inventory
• Support break/fix hardware failures, coordinating with internal support teams and vendor(s)
• Support data centre capacity management initiatives to support future equipment growth

Primary work location will be in the data centres in Ballerup and Bagsværd, although work from home or the office in the centre of Copenhagen 1-2 days a week will be expected.
A great match

• Experience working in a data centre environment
• Experience with DCIM systems and tools is advantageous
• Technical and functional knowledge of data centre infrastructure and IT equipment
• Excellent time and project management skills to deliver against tight timelines
• Good English language skills is essential
• Availability to support 24 x 7 roster duty (daytime, overnight, weekend and holidays)
• Are living in Denmark with a clean driving license required to travel between sites
