You will play a central part in our innovative approach to global shipping
As a Data Scientist, you will have a unique chance to optimise our voyage operations and minimise emissions. Based in our headquarters in Hellerup, Denmark, you will work at the core of our mission to enable smarter global trade by supporting our operations in delivering flexible and reliable freight services to our customers.
Further, you will get the opportunity to expand your knowledge around proven techniques and run computations in a cloud setup through Azure, Dev Ops, Docker, Kubernetes, Prefect, Python, and SQL. Everything in an environment built on the foundation of inclusivity, autonomy, freedom of innovative ideas, and responsibility.
You will become part of the growing Operations Analytics team currently consisting of 4 team members. Operations Analytics is our data science team working on optimising voyage operations and minimising emissions. The optimisation covers both vessel- and voyage execution and covers several in-house state-of-the art services for vessel performance monitoring, routing and speed optimisation, and emission monitoring and reporting. The role includes both maintenance and development of the existing services as well as development of new services. Operations Analytics works closely together with data scientists from two other Analytics team.

The tasks that await you
As our future Data Scientist, you will, together with the rest of the team, be responsible for tasks such as:

Developing and maintaining tools for voyage and speed optimisation.
Development of next generation of vessel performance monitoring software.
Building various systems and services around our vessel operations.
Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.

Your competencies and core qualifications
We are looking for a colleague who is curious and wants to expand their data knowledge in a global fast-paced trading environment. To thrive in this position, you should be able to tick off the following:

You hold a technical master's degree.
You have 0-3 years of working experience.
You already have good technical skills in tools such as Python and SQL.
