We are now looking for a Dev Ops Tech Lead for our Java Platform-team. The platform holds about 40 applications, all with business essential functions for most business units in the Nordics - an enjoyable complexity, if we might say so ourselves! Our responsibility is to make sure it runs as intended, while at the same time ensuring that the platform is matching Tryg´s needs for the future. Our current focus is moving the application portfolio to our new Kubernetes Cloud Platform.

About the role

We are currently a team of 5, with a couple of Dev Ops Engineers in Latvia and India, a Platform Lead in Denmark, and a Scrum Master in Norway. This also makes us a highly skilled team, with technical interest and competency in its core. We are tech enthusiasts that enjoy diving deep into technical complexity and solving challenging problems on a daily basis.

As a Dev Ops Tech Lead it will be your responsibility to help set the direction for the Platform as well as making sure it runs smoothly as it is today. You build it, you run it,

We work closely with our Info Sec-team, Cloud-team and business units to make sure we delivery on par with both current and future opportunities.

We imagine your core tasks will be:

Design, implement, and manage multiple Kubernetes clusters, including the configuration of application namespaces and node pools.
Develop and maintain Helm charts to automate application deployments and manage service scaling.
Ensure the efficient operation of Kubernetes clusters, addressing performance, scaling, and security requirements.
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure continuous integration and delivery of applications.

About you

We are open to different backgrounds, but we expect that you bring in-depth knowledge of Dev Ops and the tech stack presented above. Business understanding and empathy is essential to bring development, operation, security and business closer together.
