Environment, Health and Safety Lead Auditor

Are you passionate about employee health and safety? Do you have strong experience within ISO45001 (health and safety) and maybe also ISO14001 (environment)? Would you like to perform internal auditing in a global company? Then, you might be the new colleague we are looking for in Novo Nordisk Health and Safety.

The position

In this position, you will play an important role in assessing Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) across the EHS certified units in Novo Nordisk globally. You will support compliance, continuous improvement, and good practice in a rapidly expanding organisation. You will work with highly engaged experts to secure that our EHS management system and processes are well implemented.

Some of your key activities will be to:

Conduct EHS internal audits across certified areas with decision-making authority

Collaborate with Line of Business and members of the audit team

Maintain and develop the internal audit process, tools etc.

Maintain and develop the EHS management system

Provide training and support to Line of Business

You will perform EHS audits worldwide, both face to face and remotely (virtual). Some travelling is expected in this position. You will have empowerment and authority to practice independently, impartially, and unbiased.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

Relevant master’s degree or equivalent

ISO 45001 internal auditor qualification

5+ years of relevant auditing experience, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry

Experience within health and safety, risk assessments and control measures

Fluency in English language, written and spoken

Experience in working across cultural differences

We appreciate if you have:

Supply chain knowledge

ISO 14001 international auditor qualification

As a person, you are structured and able to take ownership of a task from planning to execution and follow-up, but you also enjoy working in collaboration with colleagues towards a common goal. You can communicate complex issues in a simple and assertive way, respectfully no matter if the target group is senior management or shopfloor employees. You are outgoing and build good relations with colleagues and stakeholders. You are pragmatic and use critical thinking to make fast and accurate decisions based on facts.

About the department

The job is in Novo Nordisk Health & Safety, a unit in the global People & Organisation division, located in Bagsværd, Denmark. The department is Novo Nordisk's Centre of Excellence in the field of health and safety with around 55 dedicated colleagues. Our role is to safeguard employee safety, health, and well-being as an integrated part of how Novo Nordisk do business, by providing targeted support and easy-to-use tools and guidance within topics such as mental well-being, safety and ergonomics.

You will be placed in team “Partnering and Projects” and will work closely together with other EHS Lead auditors.
