Your role
At Faerch, we are both a leading supplier of circular, rigid food packaging with our own recycling facility to close the loop in rigid food packaging. Our priority is sustainability leadership, and you will play a key role in documenting the environmental benefits of high recycled content and circularity to external stakeholders, but also contribute to developing new business cases both at the product level, at the site level, and in strategic partnerships.
The ambition level for being a sustainable business has never been higher, as illustrated by our ambitions to reach net zero emissions by 2040 and lead the transition in circular food packaging. You will play a significant role in ensuring that we reach both our near-term and long-term sustainability targets, hereby positioning Faerch as a sustainability leader among customers, regulators, and other stakeholders.
As an ESG Impact Specialist in Group ESG, you will be responsible for the following:

• Build a carbon footprint model for our product portfolio.
• Conduct LCA’s on selected products, projects, and our recycled raw material.
• Create tools and provide documentation to support the business
• Support the business with valuable insights on the environmental impact of key strategic decisions.
• Contribute to achieving Faerch’s ambitious sustainability goals

Your profile
As sustainability continues to evolve, this role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of meaningful change. You will be a part of a dynamic environment characterised by challenges and new opportunities.
Driven by curiosity, you will use your expertise to lead projects that impact our business. You will also be managing multiple initiatives independently while collaborating closely with stakeholders who share your passion for sustainability and circularity. We imagine that you bring some of the following experience:

• Academic background in environmental science/technology or a related field focussing on materials/plastic recycling and circularity
• Work experience in environmental sustainability, including LCA, ecodesign, and circular economy, preferably in the packaging industry or within manufacturing
• Several years of experience conducting and reviewing LCAs, utilising advanced LCA tools. A track record in complex LCAs for the manufacturing/packaging industry is a plus.
