Functional area: External Affairs
To our growing business we are looking for an External Affairs Advisor with the responsibility of developing the communication efforts for RWE Renewables Denmark.
You will be responsible for planning and implementing various initiatives both in individual projects and for the entire business.

About the job:

Drive and coordinate the company's strategic and operational communication work and run political communication and campaigns, including message development, media relations, and digital outreach.
Draft and prepare political memos and briefing papers in close cooperation with regulatory team and follow various political agendas and assess RWE's involvement in them.
Prepare and align press releases and interview preparations as well as replying to media enquiries in close cooperation with RWE’s Media Relations team.
Coordinate and develop social media content for RWE Renewables Denmark in close collaboration with RWE Social Media Team.
Follow local debate, community development and conversational climate in relevant regions to be able to adapt project communication to local conditions.
Develop debate posts, remarks, advertisements and material for professional presentations and printed matter.
Drive the employer branding agenda and actively participate in meetings, conferences and other initiatives.

Job Requirements:

To thrive and progress in this team-focused and fun job, we believe that you have experience or a genuine interest in political communication, structured and motivated and that you of course share our enthusiasm for wind power!
We believe you have a relevant university education and at least a couple of years of work experience with strategic and operational communication work, particularly in the energy industry, in a larger multinational corporation or through an agency.
Have advanced project management experience and an practical approach.
You have advanced communication and presentation skills in both Danish and English.
We put great emphasis on your personal characteristics. To thrive in this role, you are genuinely interested and have a good understanding of energy issues and the energy industry. You have the ability and interest to not only develop ideas and initiatives, but also carry them through in practice.
As a person you are positive, good at building positive relationships, curious, and committed.
You are innovative, have an open and positive approach to situations that arise and a innovative mindset and ability to challenge status quo.
We work in an international context which requires regular travel.

Our journey in Denmark started with Rødsand Offshore Wind Farm, and these days we are making history with the establishment of Denmark's largest offshore wind farm Thor. We are an important leader in the Danish market, and with our two offshore wind projects, our current portfolio in Denmark offer a strong hub for our future activities. In doing so, we are making a key contribution to Denmark's green transition, which includes a renewable energy supply for both Danish households and the launch of a new export adventure of green fuels.
In the summer of 2022, we expanded our presence in Denmark with the opening of our Copenhagen office. We now have more than 130 employees based in Denmark.
